Hotel collaboration guide for creators
How to get an overseas hotel collaboration
Preparing your application, screening, costs and hotel terms
Creators who make travel videos, photos or blog posts can agree with hotels on content production and publication in exchange for complimentary or discounted stays. Posting photos or applying alone does not guarantee a free stay.
OTI (Open To Influencer) connects Korean travel creators with overseas hotels. Creators propose their destination, hotel preferences, dates and content, and OTI negotiates with the hotel and sends an offer outlining benefits, personal costs and content requirements.
1. Preparing a travel video or photography proposal
Summarize your channel, travel plans and proposed content so the hotel can review them. This checklist helps you prepare a proposal; it is not a set of selection criteria shared by every hotel.
- Channel links and recent work: videos, photos or articles showing how you present hotels and travel
- Channel overview and actual metrics: topics, audience characteristics and verifiable follower and view counts
- Travel plans: preferred destination, check-in and check-out dates, and party size
- Content proposal: channels, formats, quantities and publication schedule
- Requested support: accommodation, included benefits and costs you can cover yourself
2. Can beginners or creators with fewer followers apply?
Anyone can browse OTI hotels. To apply for a stay, you must create an account, submit your channel and receive creator screening approval. Creating an account and receiving approval are separate steps.
Being a beginner or having a particular follower count does not guarantee approval or a collaboration. Sign in to the creator screening page to check supported channels and current criteria. Even after approval, each hotel collaboration and its terms are decided separately.
3. How to apply through OTI
After receiving creator screening approval, follow these steps.
Choose your destination and hotel preferences
Choose your travel destination and hotel preferences, then browse hotels that may consider a collaboration.
Propose dates, party size and content
Submit your stay dates, party size and proposed content. Each submitted application uses one application pass.
Review the hotel offer and give final acceptance
OTI negotiates with the hotel and sends you an offer. Review the benefits, personal costs and content requirements; the stay is confirmed when you accept the final offer.
When you apply through OTI, OTI handles negotiations with the hotel. You propose your dates and content, then review the terms sent to you.
4. How are zero fees different from free accommodation?
- OTI creator fee: KRW 0
- OTI charges creators no fees.
- Stay benefits and personal costs: check each hotel offer
- Complimentary and discounted stays are different. Included benefits and personal costs vary by hotel offer, so check them before accepting. Zero fees does not mean all travel expenses are covered.
- Application passes: 5 on sign-up, one per application
- Application passes are used to apply for collaborations. They are not accommodation vouchers and do not guarantee selection. See the tier and application pass guide for allocation and usage details.

5. Contacting a hotel directly by email
For a direct inquiry, briefly outline your dates, party size, channel, portfolio, content proposal and requested support, as below. Use the hotel's published collaboration contact and only offer what you can actually deliver.
Subject: [Collaboration proposal] Stay content for [Hotel name] — [Channel name]
Hello, I am [Name] from [Channel name], where I cover [Content topic].
I would like to propose a stay collaboration for [Dates and party size], creating [Content formats, quantities and planned publication dates].Channel and recent work: [Links]
Requested support: [Details]Could we discuss available benefits, personal costs and content usage terms?
This is a proposal template. It does not guarantee hotel acceptance, complimentary accommodation or a production fee.
6. Frequently asked questions
Will posting Instagram photos alone get me accommodation support?
Posting alone does not secure support. OTI requires screening approval, a stay application, agreement on hotel terms and final acceptance. Check content formats and quantities on the application page and in the final offer.
Does applying guarantee selection?
No. Screening approval or using an application pass does not guarantee hotel selection or a free stay. Benefits and content requirements are specified in each offer.
Is my creator profile published automatically?
Creators are listed in the public roster only after screening approval and their consent to public display.
Where can hotel teams inquire about working with creators?
The hotel partner guide explains the roles of the hotel, creator and OTI, describes the collaboration process and provides a partnership inquiry route.
